Honda Cars India has announced a recall of 92,672 cars across various models.
The recall is due to defective fuel pump impellers, which could cause the engine to stall or fail to start. Honda will replace the parts free of charge starting November 5, 2024, at dealerships across India.
The Japanese carmaker will contact affected individuals directly in due time, or they can visit Honda’s India website.
“The customers can check whether their cars are covered under this campaign by submitting their 17-character alpha-numeric Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on the special microsite created on the company’s website,” Honda said in an official statement. “Further, customers who may have bought fuel pump assy from Honda Cars authorised dealerships between June 2017 and October 2023 through over the counter sale, may also get their vehicle checked through Honda Cars dealership,” it added.
