The Hyundai Creta, the best-selling SUV for Hyundai, is all set to be launched in an electric version by late 2025. The Creta EV will be based on the facelifted Creta, which launched in early 2024.
Creta is a feature-loaded SUV. The carmaker has sold over 10 lakh units of the SUV till date, making it a crowd favorite.
The made-in-India electric SUV will be produced at the Chennai plant. Hyundai plans to further produce five EV models in India by 2030.
The company has committed Rs 20,000 crore for electric vehicle development in the Indian market in the next eight years.
The South Korean automaker aims to capture a significant share of the Indian EV market.
The Hyundai Creta EV has been rigorously tested by Hyundai. While the launch is expected in early 2025; prices could start at Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Creta EV could arrive in two variants, namely Platinum and Signature.
The Creta EV is expected to be offered with a claimed range of over 400 km, with support for DC fast charging. The Creta EV is expected to be powered by a 55–60 kWh battery pack.
Like the standard ICE Creta, it will be equipped with a host of features. Hyundai could launch the Creta EV in India sometime in 2025.
