Twenty-odd years ago the Jeep Compass was a mid-size SUV, and although the car has continued to be sold steadily all that time, the last time Jeep saw fit to apply a lick of aesthetic paint to the Compass was only in the past year. Finally this year, Jeep has introduced the new generation Compass with a hybrid and EV version in Europe.

1. A New, Bold Look

This time, it has a more rugged and modern look than before, though it’s not very far from its Compass relative, by retaining the Jeep seven slats grid, a more tapered look inclusive of lighting, headlamps being more rectangular and vertical strips of LED daytime running lights making the look of the SUV more aggressive. 

Additional Features on the side:

  • Larger 20-inch dual-tone alloy wheels 
  • Pull-style door handles 
  • Gorgeous blacked-out mirrors and roof rails 
  • Fastened prominent “COMPASS” decals near the entrance of the car 

Additional Features on the back:

  • Well-designed vertical fog lamps on a black background 
  • A bold illuminated Jeep logo 
  • Increased ground clearance and an even more pronounced bumper with the same greyish colored skid plate spare us the trouble. 
  • A bigger boot with 550 litres of space, an increase in 45L compared to the previous model.

  • 1.6L plug-in hybrid (198 PS) with an energy content of the battery of 21 kWh. 

Compass EV Models:

  • 73 kWh battery (216 PS, 500 km range) 
  • For the 97 kWh battery pack, it delivers up to 380 PS power output and has a range of 650 km. 

The EV supports fast charging:

  • 160 kW DC fast charger: Charges from 20% to 80% in 30 minutes 
  • 22 kW AC home charger included 

5. India Launch and Competition

Since the 2025 Compass has not formally launched in the world markets, it is more likely to see a launch in the Indian markets by the end of 2026. The existing model of Jeep Compass is priced from 18.99 lakh to 32.41 lakh (ex-showroom) in the Indian market.
