THE SOUTH KOREAN automaker Kia has a brand-new electric compact SUV on the way.

Kia has finally unveiled the entry-level all-electric SUV, the EV3, globally. The five-seater SUV will be offered in two trims – Standard and GT-Line.Just like with the EV9, the new EV3 looks almost identical to the concept car we first saw last year

The dimensions of the EV3 are 4,300mm in length, 1,850mm in width, 1,560mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,680mm, which is comparable to a Hyundai Creta.

Kia offers the EV3 in nine body colors – two of which have been created exclusively for the new model: Aventurine Green and Terracotta.

The interior of the Kia EV3 reflects the stylish design of the EV9, which is its larger counterpart. The dashboard has a layout that is familiar, with twin 12.3-inch floating infotainment screens

The Standard model comes with a 58.3-kilowatt-hour battery, while the Long Range variant has a 81.4-kWh battery that has a range of up to 372 miles (600 kilometers).
