The Kia EV2 Concept debuted during the Kia EV Day event in Tarragona, Spain.
The small SUV concept previews a future B-segment subcompact electric SUV that is due to arrive in Europe in 2026.
Kia unveiled its Concept EV2, an electric subcompact crossover set to spawn a production model in 2026. The Kia EV2 is set to be the B-segment entry point into the brand’s battery-electric offerings.
The Kia EV 2 is somewhere between a boxy hatchback and a tiny crossover with short overhangs and plenty of plastic body cladding.
Kia EV 2 Design and Interior
The EV2’s design comes with Kia’s “Opposites United” philosophy, featuring smooth exterior surfaces and a distinctive front lighting arrangement.
The front lights include a unique running light design positioned beside the main headlights. The rear lights are set low and have a rounded shape, differing from Kia’s existing EV models. This EV concept sports reverse-opening rear doors to help rear passengers more easily hop into the rear of the cabin.
Inside, the Concept EV2 boasts a smartly designed four-seater cabin focused on space efficiency and comfort. Some of the concept’s more elaborate features, such as flip-up front seat bases and rear-hinged doors, are unlikely to make it to the production vehicle.
Moreover, the concept features a fold-up rear seat and sliding front bench, plus removable cushions and speakers that can be used outside of the car, while the boxy SUV proportions and flat floor make it especially roomy for a car with a total length of just 4,060mm, but with a stretched wheelbase of 2,565mm.
Kia EV 2 India Launch
Kia plans to launch this compact BEV crossover in Europe and other markets in 2026. Moreover, Kia has no plans to launch the Kia EV 2 in the Indian market as of now.
