LX 500d is now offered in two variants - Urban and Overtrail

Lexus has launched the LX 500d SUV in the Indian market with prices starting at Rs 3 crore. The 500d was first showcased in India at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, in January.
Lexus will offer the new LX 500d in two variants – a standard Urban version and an off-road-centric Overtrail edition. The Lexus LX500d Urban starts in India at INR 3 crore (ex-showroom) and the Lexus LX500d Overtrail is priced at INR 3.3 crore (ex-showroom).
The brand has opened the bookings of both the variants, and the customers can book the SUV online or by visiting the nearest Lexus Centre.
Moreover, Lexus have added several tech upgrades, offering drivers and passengers a better experience however, Mechanically it remains unchanged.

Lexus LX500d Urban and Overtrail
The Overtrail grade is designed for customers who want adventure, with off-road enhancements like front and rear differential locks, rugged tyres, and matte grey aluminium wheels. The design is equally bold, which features a ‘Moon Desert’ exterior color and the ‘Overtrail Khaki’ interior, giving the SUV a distinctive and rugged look.
While, the Urban grade offers luxurious and polished experience. It’s available in elegant colors like Sonic Quartz and Sonic Titanium. Inside, the craftsmanship is unparalleled, with interiors that incorporate traditional Japanese techniques, offering an environment that exudes refinement and sophistication.
Lexus LX500d Powertrain (Diesel power only)
The LX 500d is powered by a 3.3-litre twin-turbo V6 diesel engine that produces 304 BHP @ 4,000 rpm and 700 Nm @ 1,600-2,600 rpm. The engine is paired with a 10-speed automatic gearbox and a four-wheel drive system.
The SUV gets five drive modes and that includes- Normal, Eco, Comfort, Sport S, and Sport S+. There is also a Custom mode available in the settings of the SUV.
Lexus LX500d Safety Features
The LX500d has a ladder frame chassis and comes with a robust adaptive variable suspension with 4-wheel active height control.
Standard Safety features of the LX500d includes 10 SRS airbags, traction control, hill assist control, trailer sway control and tyre pressure monitoring system. The SUV also has vehicle stability control, crawl control, underfloor view and electronically controlled brake.
