Lotus Cars has launched two new products for the Indian market. The British automaker has introduced the Emira, an ICE sedan, and Emeya, an EV performance sedan in India. The Emeya will be offered in three variants in India with prices starting at Rs 2.34 cr. The Emira will also be offered in three variants and priced from Rs 3.22 crore (both prices ex-showroom).
The Lotus Emira is the brand’s only ICE model in its line-up globally. The supercar is available in three variants: Emira Turbo, Turbo SE, and V6.
Powertrain
The Emira is available in two engine configurations:
– A 3.5-litre supercharged V6 with 406 bhp and 420 Nm, paired with either a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission.
– A 2.0-litre turbocharged inline-four producing up to 406 bhp and 480 Nm, equipped with an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission.
– Both versions of the Emira have their engines mounted transversely, powering the rear axle.
Performance metrics include a 0-100 km/h time of 4.0-4.4 seconds, depending on the variant, and a top speed of 290 km/h.
Colour Options
The Lotus Emira is available in Zinc Grey, and Vivid Red. The owners also get the option to customise the vehicle with various options of wheel finishes, audio enhancements, and exterior/ interior model branding.
Lotus Emeya
The Emeya is the brand’s second electric vehicle in India, after the Eletre which was launched in late 2023. The Lotus Emeya is the sedan counterpart to the Lotus Eletre electric SUV. Sharing a platform and powertrains with the SUV, it takes on a more aerodynamic, low-slung sedan shape with over 5 metres long, and is intended to provide luxurious GT comfort for four passengers.
Powertrain
The Lotus Emeya has a standard 102kWh battery pack, having a WLTP range of 610km in the Standard, 540km for the S variant and 435km for the R variant.
Colour Options
The Emeya is available in six paint scheme options: Boreal Grey, Fireglow Orange, Solar Yellow, Akoya White, Stellar Black, and Kaimu Grey.
