Luxury carmakers Mercedes-Benz, Audi, and BMW are eyeing robust sales during the festive period this year, with demand for high-end cars continuing to see an upward trend in India.
Mercedes-Benz: 1,308 units, down from 1,451 units in September 2023
BMW: 1,011 units, down from 1,175 units in September 2023
JaguarLand Rover: 447 units, down from 448 units in September 2023
Volvo: 112 units, down from 186 units in September 2023
Audi: 37 units (CBU), down from 77 units in September 2023
the YoY sales — last month, many carmakers reported negative growth apart from Mahindra, who has seen a consistent growth over the last few months. This month, Mahindra, Toyota, Bajaj, Honda and Hero MotoCorp have posted positive sales.
The luxury car market in India currently remains very small, accounting for less than 2 percent of the overall passenger vehicle market in the country.
