The Mahindra BE 6 Formula-E Edition has been launched in the Indian market with a starting price of Rs. 23.69 lakh (ex showroom). This special edition brings refreshed exterior and interior updates, a strong 79kWh battery, and two variants called FE2 and FE3

Mahindra is offering this version with a fresh look, added design cues inspired by its Formula-E racing program and a long driving range that makes it one of the most capable EVs in its segment

Mahindra has revised the BE 6 Formula E Edition with several visible changes that give it a more sporty and bold stance. The front and rear bumpers get a new shape making the car look wider and more aggressive. A brushed aluminum finished rear faux skid plate adds a tougher feel to the back

A new spoiler sits neatly on the boot lid while the headlamps have been revised for a sharper and more modern appearance. Mahindra has added a fresh paint theme and new sticker elements across the body. The hood now carries sport stripes and buyers can pick from four color choices:

• Tango Red
• Firestorm Orange
• Everest White
• Stealth Black

The Formula-E version also gets wheel stripes, an orange tow hook and a Formula E badge placed at the rear. To enhance the sporty look even further the electric SUV features red brake calipers and orange detailing along the running boards. Inside the BE 6 Formula-E Edition carries the same sporty theme seen on the exterior. The cabin gets several bold touches to match the racing DNA. Mahindra has added a transparent door panel which gives the interior a more modern and futuristic look. The Formula E logo is placed neatly in multiple areas reminding the user of the motorsport link.

The doors get carbon-fiber style accents while the seats carry a Formula E motif on the backrest. Mahindra has used orange inserts across the cabin, including:

• Orange accents on the steering wheel
• Orange buttons in the center console
• Orange inner door handles

These bright color highlights help the cabin feel more special and lively making this edition stand out from the standard version

Mahindra BE 6 Formula-E Battery, Motor And Range

The BE 6 Formula-E Edition uses a 79kWh battery pack, which is paired with a single motor rear wheel drive setup (RWD). This motor produces 282bhp and 380Nm of torque. Mahindra claims a driving range of 683km on a single charge, which places it among the longest range EVs in India

Both variants FE2 and FE3 get the same battery and motor combination. The FE2 variant carries a price tag of Rs. 23.69 lakh while the FE3 is priced at Rs. 24.49 lakh (ex showroom). The FE3 likely includes additional features or design elements over the FE2 which explains the price difference
