Mahindra Gears Up for Two New 7-Seater SUVs in 2025

Mahindra & Mahindra is currently enjoying a strong run in the Indian automobile market. The brand has gained popularity with its modern SUVs that blend performance, features and style. To keep this momentum going Mahindra is preparing to launch two new models in the growing 7seater SUV segment. One of them will be a brand new electric SUV the XEV 7e while the other will be an updated version of the XUV700. Both are expected to arrive early next year and are set to bring fresh choices for families who want space, comfort and advanced technology.  

Mahindra XEV 7e

The Mahindra XEV 7e will be the third electric SUV from the company, built on the INGLO platform. It will share its design language, equipment, and electric setup with the XEV 9e coupe SUV.

Key Features Expected:

• Wide triple-screen layout on the dashboard
• Two-spoke steering wheel with a glowing logo
• Dual-zone climate control for better cabin comfort
• Augmented reality head-up display (HUD) for easier driving guidance
• Panoramic sunroof and premium interior finish
• Level 2 ADAS (advanced driver assistance systems)
• 360-degree camera with live video recording
• Second-row captain’s chairs, setting it apart from the XEV 9e

Powertrain And Range:

• Likely to offer 59kWh and 79kWh LFP battery packs carried over from the XEV 9e
• Smaller battery + 286 bhp motor = up to 542 km claimed range
• Bigger battery + 231 bhp motor = up to 656 km claimed range
• Final range figures for the 7e may differ slightly depending on its size and weight  

Mahindra XUV700 Facelift

The new Mahindra XUV 700 facelift is expected to hit Indian roads in the first half of 2025. Spy shots show most of the styling tweaks will be at the front

Expected Exterior Changes

• Freshly designed round headlamps
• Updated grille with slanted vertical slats
• Redesigned lower bumper area  

Interior And Features:

The XUV700 already has a rich feature list but the facelift will raise the bar further. Likely additions include

• Upgraded Harman audio system with Dolby Atmos support
• Ottoman-style rear seat for more comfort
• Digital key access
• Auto dimming IRVM
• Self-parking function

Engine And Performance:

No major mechanical changes are expected. The SUV will continue with:

• 2.0L turbopetrol engine (297 bhp)
• 2.2L turbodiesel engine (182 bhp)
• Both maual and automatic gearbox options will be available
