The Mahindra Thar Roxx has reached dealerships across the country. The carmaker has now begun offering test drives of the SUV to customers at all its showrooms. Its bookings will open on October 3, with deliveries slated to commence from Dussehra 2024 (October 12).

Interested customers will have to place orders either by visiting the brand dealerships across the country or online on the official website.

The Mahindra Thar Roxx is offered in six variants: MX1, MX3, MX5, AX3L, AX5L, and AX7L.

Customers can have the SUV in seven hues: Tango Red, Everest White, Nebula Blue, Battleship Grey, Burnt Sienna, Deep Forest, and Stealth Black.

Mahindra Thar Roxx: Features

Key highlights include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, automatic climate control, panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, a wireless phone charger, and a 9-speaker Harman Kardon sound system.

Mahindra Thar Roxx: Powertrain

The Thar Roxx is offered with either petrol or diesel engines. There is the 2.0-liter mStallion, turbo-petrol, direct injection (TGDi), which only comes with rear-wheel-drive (RWD) and two transmission choices: manual (162 hp/330 Nm) or automatic (177 hp/380 Nm). The other engine option is the 2.2-liter mHawk, turbo-diesel, which is offered with either 4×4 or RWD. The low-output (152 hp/330 Nm) version comes with either a manual or an automatic transmission, while the high-output version (175 hp/370 Nm) comes only with an automatic.

Mahindra Thar Roxx: Off-road Capabilities

Mahindra has claimed that the SUV has a water-fording depth of 650 mm. If you want to go to the mountains, then Mahindra claims the Thar Roxx can climb at an approach angle of 41.7 degrees and a departure angle of 36.1 degrees. The maximum angle of a ramp it can get onto is 23.9 degrees.

Mahindra Thar Roxx: Safety

The Thar Roxx has a long list of safety features; among them the prominent features include 6 airbags, seat belt reminders, passenger airbag ON/OFF for child safety, ISOFIX mounts, electronic stability control (ESC), Hill Hold Control (HHC), Hill Descent Control (HDC), traction control, and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
