Mahindra has just added fresh momentum to its XEV 9e Pack Three family by introducing two charger-focused variants. The XEV 9e Pack Three now comes in 7.2 kW and 11.2 kW charger options, giving buyers greater choice without altering core specs.
This move comes after the initial launch of Pack Three. It brings a generous 79 kWh battery pack and premium features. Buyers who want faster at-home charging or more wallet-friendly installs can now pick and choose at their leisure.
The XEV 9e is offered in 4 broad trims: Pack One, Pack Two, Pack Three Select, and Pack Three. Until now, Pack Three was a single flagship option featuring the 79 kWh battery pack. Mahindra has broadened that top trim by splitting it into two charger configurations.
Customers can choose the standard Pack Three with a 7.2 kW home charger or step up to the Pack Three 11.2 kW charger for quicker top-ups.
Both Pack Three variants have identical performance figures.
The 7.2 kW charger setup carries an ex-showroom price of ₹30.50 lakh. The 11.2 kW charger option is pegged at ₹31.25 lakh. The only difference is the charger itself, making the 11.2 kW variant about ₹75 000 costlier at point of sale.
Mahindra ensured that all core XEV 9e Pack Three comforts carry over. You still get the renowned triple 12.3-inch glass cockpit setup, panoramic infinity glass roof, leatherette seat upholstery, and a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system.
Level 2 ADAS suite with five radar modules, rear-wheel-drive chassis, and Boost mode are also unchanged. Buyers looking purely for peak Mahindra electric variant experience will find no compromise here.
These XEV 9e upgrades solve a common EV shopping dilemma: balance charger capacity against cost. Not every buyer needs a high-power home charger. By offering two charger trims, Mahindra is delivering flexibility you rarely see in this segment.
It also streamlines the EV trim comparison process for prospective owners, since they can now zero in on their preferred charger without delving through multiple feature lists.
In a market where every spec bump can justify a consequent price jump, Mahindra’s new charger-specific Pack Three variants simplify choices.
Competitors often bundle charger, battery, and luxury features together. With the XEV 9e Pack Three split, you can focus on range and onboard tech first, then dial in the charger speed that suits your daily routine. This could become a powerful differentiator for Mahindra electric variants.
