The Mahindra XEV 9S base variant enters the mid size electric SUV market with a price tag of ₹19.95 lakh (ex showroom). This model sits below the XEV 9E, which starts at ₹21.90 lakh making the 9S a more value friendly option for buyers looking for a premium EV without a high entry cost

Mahindra introduced the XEV 9S as the brand’s third Electric Origin SUV. The company has confirmed that bookings for the SUV will open on 14 January 2026, while deliveries will begin from 23 January 2026. With this launch the XEV 9S will directly compete with the Tata Harrier EV, priced from ₹21.49 lakh (ex showroom)
