Mahindra & Mahindra has discontinued the 5-seater variants of the XUV700, and the SUV is now exclusively available in 6- and 7-seater options. As a result, the Mahindra XUV700 price at the entry-level has moved up to Rs 14.49 lakh, ex-showroom, from the earlier Rs 13.99 lakh.
Notably, the 5-seater versions of the XUV700 were introduced to be a more affordable option, but they have not been popular with buyers
Considering the 7-seater configuration may be more popular, and there may be a lack of demand for rear captain seats in the Indian market, particularly in the XUV700’s price segment.

Moreover, the topend trims have been more popular due to greater number of features available on these variants which makes it more attractive.
The XUV700 is currently priced between ₹14.49 lakh and ₹25.14 lakh (ex-showroom, India), It continues to be a strong performer in its segment, appreciated for its robust build quality, high safety standards, and powerful drivetrain options. The XUV700 comes with both diesel and petrol options which does not change.
Furthermore, the 5 seater being discontinued also hints that a major refresh of the XUV700 is also in the pipeline soon.
