Maruti e Vitara Battery Options And Expected Range
Battery size and distance per charge are key points for EV buyers and the e Vitara comes with competitive numbers
Two Battery Choices
Internationally the SUV is sold with 49-kWh and 61-kWh battery packs. Both send power to a front mounted electric motor
Only the front-wheel-drive (FWD) versions will launch in India first. The international all-wheel-drive (AWD) version, called AllGrip-e, may arrive later
Power And Range Figures (WLTP cycle):
- 49 kWh FWD: 144 hp, 344 km range
- 61 kWh FWD: 174 hp, 428 km range

- Keyless entry
- Powered driver’s seat
- Sunroof

Maruti e Vitara Practicality And Cabin Space
Practicality often makes or breaks a family SUV, and the e Vitara tries to offer a good balance
Seating Space
Front seats feel comfortable and supportive. Taller or broader passengers may find the seat width a bit tight but knee room and shoulder room remain good
Rear passengers get a reclining backrest and sliding seat adjustment, allowing people to choose between more legroom or more boot space
Boot Capacity
With the rear seats pushed all the way back:
- 238 liters of cargo space
With seats moved forward: - 306 liters of space
The India-spec version is expected to offer better usable space due to a revised storage tray and under floor layout
Maruti e Vitara Driving Behavior And Performance
The e Vitara has been tested abroad, giving a good idea of how it may feel on Indian roads
How It Drives
The 61-kWh FWD model with 174 hp can go from 0–100 kph in 8.7 seconds on paper, but real-world performance is smooth rather than aggressive. It does not aim to be the fastest EV in its class, but it feels predictable and comfortable during daily driving
At higher speeds, some wind and tire noise can be heard inside the cabin.
The regen braking system works but requires multiple steps to adjust the levels must be changed on the touchscreen and then activated using a physical button near the gear selector
Overall the SUV behaves like a relaxed cruiser, fitting well with buyers looking for comfort and range instead of instant acceleration
