Maruti e Vitara is finally ready to enter the Indian market, and the wait for Maruti’s first electric SUV ends tomorrow. Even though it carries the “Vitara” name, this model is not an electric version of the Grand Vitara. It is a new EV built from scratch, created as a proper electric vehicle from day one. The SUV was first shown at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo, and ever since, many buyers have been curious about what it offers
If you have been looking forward to this launch, here are all the important details you should know before it goes on sale
Maruti e Vitara Exterior Design – A Ground-Up Electric SUV
Many people may assume it is simply the Grand Vitara in an electric form because of the name, but that is not true. The Maruti e Vitara is a completely new model, designed purely as an EV. This is clear from its styling, which looks more rugged and sharper compared to what we have seen on other Maruti SUVs
Front Styling
At the front, the SUV carries a tough and muscular look.
- It has a chunky bumper that gives it a bold attitude
- The slim Y-shaped LED DRLs add a modern touch
- The sharp headlamps and multiple cuts and lines on the bonnet and bumper catch the eye immediately
The combination of ruggedness and modern detail makes it look like a proper SUV built for Indian roads
Side Profile
From the side, the electric SUV continues to show its sturdy character.
- The thick wheel arches and broad door cladding make it look capable and strong
- It rides on 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels which have an aerodynamic pattern designed to reduce drag
Overall the side profile shows a clean yet muscular silhouette
Rear Styling
The rear section gets a similar rugged design theme as the front.
- There is a large, tough-looking bumper
- The wraparound LED tail lamps carry the same Y-shaped design seen in the DRLs
The design keeps the SUV looking wide, stable, and premium.
