Maserati MC20 Cielo Convertible to cost Rs 5.31 crore in India

Maserati has released two new convertibles in India — the MC20 Cielo and the GranCabrio Trofeo — with prices of ₹5.31 crore and ₹3.40 crore each (without dealership options).

At its heart, the MC20 Cielo is equipped with a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 that generates 630 horses and 730 Nm of torque. With 0 to 100 km/h done in about 3 seconds, this car can also run over 320 km/h. With the push of a button, the glass roof on the MC20 Cielo opens or closes in only 12 seconds. Because of the roof and its lifting mechanism, the MC20 spider is heavier than the MC20 coupe by 85 kg — 1,560kg total — that is why it is slower.

Like its coupe sibling, the GranCabrio Trofeo uses a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 engine. Its engineers have put in 550 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque which allows the car to go from 0 to 100km/h in 3.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 316 km/h. A fabric roof could be lowered or raised in just 14 seconds as the vehicle travels up to 50 km/h. You can seat two in front and two in back in the GranCabrio.

The structure, technology and accessories are the same as in the coupe versions, yet the convertible roof is what sets them apart. While the roof on the MC20 Cielo is electrochromic, the GranCabrio comes with a traditional soft top.

Maserati has new life in the convertible market thanks to the MC20 Cielo, introduced in 2022 after the GranCabrio was discontinued in 2019. Following the arrival of the GranTurismo coupe in India in 2024, the GranCabrio Trofeo has been announced, at a price point of ₹2.72 crore for the Modena variant and ₹2.90 crore for the Trofeo variant.

No official news has come from Maserati, but the models can now be found with Indian prices on several dealerships’ websites.
