Initially, the new-generation Mercedes-Benz CLA EV was launched only in the CLA 250+ Long Range version. However, the company has now rolled out a new base trim in response to customer feedback.

With the addition of the CLA 200 variant, Mercedes-Benz aims to broaden the appeal of its new electric sedan as interest in premium EVs continues to grow in India.

Key features

On the feature front, the CLA EV includes wireless phone charging, six 100W USB-C fast charging ports, panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, 16 speaker Burmester sound system, 360 degree surround view camera and LEVEL-2 ADAS tech.

Safety Features
The CLA Electric really prioritizes safety, offering a solid array of features. You’ll find standard elements like seven airbags, Brake Assist, ISOFIX mounts, Electronic Stability Control, and Hill Hold Control.
Additionally, it includes Level 2 ADAS, making it one of the most comprehensive driver assistance packages we’ve seen in a Mercedes in this category.
Uniform Equipment Levels Confirmed for CLA 200 and 250+
Mercedes-Benz India says the equipment level of both the CLA 250+ Long Range and CLA 200 Standard Range will remain the same. This is in line with the automaker’s commitment to a more feature-packed product across variants.
Verdict
If you’ve been on the lookout for a luxury electric vehicle that has the sleek look of a concept car, drives like a Mercedes, and doesn’t need a charging break every few hours, then the CLA 250+ is definitely the one to consider.
On the other hand, if you’re after the luxury brand and the latest tech without the need for long-distance travel on a single charge, the CLA 200 is probably the most practical luxury EV choice in India today.
