Mercedes-Benz is gearing up to launch the CLA EV in India in April 2026. The new CLA EV will replace the ICE A-Class sedan as well as the EQA and EQB eSUVs in India

The CLA EV is built on the new Mercedes-Benz Modular Architecture (MMA) and will play a key role in the brand’s local portfolio, effectively taking the place of multiple entry-level models that have been phased out in recent years.

Moreover, the announcement signifies Mercedes’s intensified focus on the Indian EV market. The CLA EV is expected to be a cornerstone of Mercedes’ “EV-first” strategy, positioning itself as a high-tech entry point into their next-generation electric lineup.

Price (Expected)

Globally, Mercedes-Benz offers the CLA Electric in 200, 250+, and 350 4MATIC variants.

Mercedes-Benz will likely launch the CLA Electric in India in its most range-focused 250+ variant, priced from around 60 lakh rupees (ex-showroom).

Dimensions & Boot Space

The CLA EV measures 4,723mm in length, 1,855mm in width, and 1,468mm in height, riding on a 2,790mm wheelbase. Boot capacity stands at 405 liters, with an additional 101 liters in the frunk, offering practical storage for daily use.

Battery Pack & Range

The all-electric Mercedes-Benz CLA EV expected to launch in India will feature a substantial 85 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which delivers a class-leading range of up to 792 km (WLTP cycle).
