The electric CLA concept coupe made its debut at the International Motor Show 2023 in Germany. The Concept CLA is built on the brand’s Modular Architecture (MMA) platform. This model is designed for a new generation of customers prioritising comfort, safety, luxury, and cutting-edge technology.
Mercedes Benz Concept CLA is based on the company’s Vision EQXX concept, an electric drive technology. Concept CLA is an entry level model for Mercedes Benz next-gen concept that is expected to take shape into EV, Sedan and SUV as well.
The next-generation CLA will continue to have four doors with the swooping roofline for a coupe-esque look. It comes with striking front LED lights with an animated star pattern, offering a sleek, futuristic look and low-energy LED technology.
The interior of the Concept CLA Class is similar to the Vision EQXX. Mercedes-Benz claimed that it has incorporated eco-friendly materials in the Concept CLA’s cabin. These include recycled PET and paper trims, bamboo fiber for door mats, and a vegan silk-like fabric for the edges of door pockets.
Mercedes-Benz Concept CLA: Battery pack and range
The CLA features a powertrain drawn from the Vision EQXX concept, promising a range of 750 km on a single charge with a consumption rate of 12kWh/100 km. This model is built on an 800V architecture, supporting 250 kW DC fast charging that can add 400 km of range in just 15 minutes.
