Mercedes Price Hike April 2026: Why You’ll Pay Up to ₹7 Lakh More Next Month
- The revision will apply across the brand’s lineup of luxury sedans, SUVs, and electric vehicles sold in the Indian market.
Mercedes-Benz has decided to follow in Audi’s footsteps by announcing a 2% price increase across its entire lineup in India, starting from April 1, 2026.
The luxury car manufacturer attributes the price hike to volatility in the forex and rising input costs in the manufacturing of vehicles. This marks the second price increase for the brand in 2026, following a similar revision in January.

The company cited several macroeconomic pressures for the “price correction”:
- Rising Input Costs: Increased expenses for raw materials and logistics have pressured operating margins.
- Forex Volatility: Sustained depreciation of the Indian Rupee against the Euro has significantly increased the cost of imported components.

Official Statement
Brendon Sissing, Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Mercedes-Benz India, said, “Starting April 1, we will be implementing a price correction of around 2 per cent across our portfolio. This decision is largely driven by continued forex volatility, particularly the sustained depreciation of the rupee against the euro, along with rising input costs. While we always strive to absorb cost pressures, some price adjustment becomes necessary to maintain business sustainability. Our focus remains on ensuring minimal impact on customers while continuing to deliver best-in-class products and experiences.”
