MG Motor India recently announced a substantial price reduction for its Comet EV and ZS EV models, which allows savings of up to ₹4.99 lakh, making it more affordable. The company is offering Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) services, through which buyers can opt for battery rental instead of purchasing the battery. Thus, the Comet EV has its ex-showroom price reduced to ₹4.99 lakh, while the ZS EV also does not miss out on the flexible payment plan, which is intended to help many Indians adopt electric vehicles. In the wake of BaaS, these electric cars are easily affordable to potential buyers who were regarded as EV unthinkable due to the initial high costs of the vehicles.
The Comet EV and ZS EV provide exceptional features in their respective classes and guarantee a comfort-oriented and tech-driven experience while driving. The range of the ZS EV is 350 km, whereas the Comet EV is mainly targeted for city runs with a range designed for everyday use. Both versions come with modern amenities like touchscreen infotainment systems with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, along with safety features such as ABS, airbags, and traction control. Now with the price slash coupled with the BaaS model, these two concerning electric vehicles are more appealing than before in the fast-transforming electric vehicle market in India.
