MG Windsor EV Prices Hiked By Up To ₹60,000, But BaaS Cost Remains Untouched: Check New Rates

MG Windsor EV price has been increased by upto Rs 60,000 depending upon the variant.

Citing rising input and manufacturing costs, the automaker implemented this nationwide price revision to align with shifting economic factors.

Every single one of the five variants on offer has received a price markup, but it is budget-conscious buyers who will feel the biggest pinch.

The entry-level Excite variant has received the highest price hike of ₹60,000. Previously available at an aggressive starting price of ₹14.10 Lakh, its sticker price has now been revised to ₹14.70 Lakh. This adjustments translates to a 4.26 percent increase, making it the steepest percentage jump across the entire Windsor EV family.

This move follows similar mid-year price adjustments across the automotive sector, with brands like Tata and Kia also bumping up their prices.

BaaS (Battery-as-a-Service) Pricing Remains Untouched

For buyers looking to bypass the hefty upfront cost of an electric car, JSW MG has left its innovative Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) pricing completely untouched. Under this program, you pay a significantly lower initial cost for the vehicle and simply rent the battery via a fixed per-kilometer subscription model.

This makes the Windsor EV an incredibly attractive proposition for high-mileage drivers, keeping the entry barrier well under the ₹10 lakh mark.

BaaS Pricing Breakdown:

Standard Windsor EV (38 kWh): Starts at an upfront cost of ₹9.99 Lakh, with a battery rental rate of ₹3.99 per km.

Windsor EV Pro Variants (52.9 kWh): Start at an upfront cost of ₹12.25 Lakh, with a slightly higher battery rental rate of ₹4.50 per km.
