Mini Convertible Launched in India at Rs 58.5 Lakh

The Mini Convertible has been launched in India at a price of Rs 58.50 lakh, ex showroom. This new generation model enters the Indian market as a fully imported CBU unit and bookings are now open at dealerships across the country. Deliveries have already begun making it one of the quickest rollouts for a CBU model this year

Compared to other Mini models the Convertible sits at a higher price point. It carries a Rs 14.80 lakh premium over the standard Cooper S and is also Rs 4.1 lakh more expensive than the JCW trim. This pricing reflects its open top design, updated styling and new technology additions for the 2025 model year

Mini Convertible Exterior Design And Color Choices

The new model stays true to the iconic Mini styling that buyers know well but it also gets several updates that give it a fresher look. The front now features reworked round LED headlamps with multiple lighting signatures and a revised grille layout. At the rea the car gets vertical LED tail lamps with a smooth, flush finish that adds a modern touch

Customers can pick from four distinct exterior shades, which include:

• British Racing Green
• Chili Red
• Sunny Side Yellow
• Ocean Wave Green

Buyers also get a choice of Black or White mirror caps allowing some personalization without breaking the classic Mini styling theme

Mini Convertible Soft-Top Roof And Practicality

One of the biggest highlights of the Mini Convertible is its electrically operated fabric roof. The roof can be opened in 18 seconds and closed in 15 seconds and these operations can be done at speeds of up to 30 kmph. The roof also has a partial opening function where only the front section slides back, working like a sunroof

In terms of daily use, the model offers 215 liters of luggage space when the roof is closed. When the roof is folded down, the storage capacity becomes 160 liters which is expected for a compact convertible

Inside the cabin the Convertible brings Mini’s new minimalist design direction. The most noticeable change is the round OLED center screen, which works as both the instrument display and the infotainment system. The new Mini Convertible is powered by a 2.0 liter turbo-petrol engine. This motor produces 201 bhp and 300 Nm of torque, offering enough power for spirited open top driving. The engine comes paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, tuned for fast shifts and smooth performance

In terms of acceleration, the car goes from 0 to 100 kmph in 6.9 seconds, which is impressive for a compact convertible. The top speed is 240 kmph making it one of the quickest models in its segment
