The fourth-generation Mini Cooper S will replace the outgoing model. While the launch of the Countryman E will mark the arrival of the third-generation, all-electric model, Mini currently offers the petrol-powered Countryman in the Indian market.
Both the new Countryman E and the updated Mini Cooper S models get a cleaner and sleeker look with redesigned fascias. It also features larger wheels and a longer wheelbase.
Notably, Countryman Electric will arrive in India for the first time as a CBU unit.
The updated Mini Cooper S retains the signature round headlights and couples them with an octagonal look on the outside.
As far as the battery-powered Mini Countryman is concerned, it will be powered by a 210 bhp/250 Nm electric motor paired with a 66.45 kWh battery pack and offer a WLTP range of up to 462 kilometers. MINI may reportedly bring the 309-bhp Countryman ALL4 with a dual-motor setup.
The refreshed Countryman EV design includes an octagonal grille, redesigned headlights with new signature LED DRLs, and revised taillights and tailgate. The electric SUV shares its underpinnings with the BMW iX1.
The all-electric Countryman will be offered with a 66.4 kWh battery pack and a WLTP-claimed range of 462 km. It gets a single electric motor, making 204 PS and 250 Nm. In 8.6 seconds, the Countryman EV can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph.
