Most Powerful BMW M2 Ever_ M2 CS Hits India with 530hp and Carbon Fibre Upgrades-1
BMW India has officially launched th
e BMW M2 CS (Competition Sport) at an ex-showroom price of ₹1.66 crore.

This track-focused, limited-run performance coupe is brought to India as a Completely Built-Up (CBU) unit and sits as the hardcore flagship of the M2 lineup.

The BMW M2 CS costs roughly Rs. 64 lakh more than the standard M2. For that premium, you’re getting the most powerful, hardcore version of the M2 ever made, designed to be a “road-legal race car.

Powertrain

Under the hood, the BMW M2 CS takes the familiar 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine and turns the dial to eleven. While it shares the same base engine as the regular M2, this version gets reworked internals and stiffer engine mounts to handle a massive power surge.

The result? A staggering 530hp and 650Nm of torque—an increase of 50hp and 50Nm over the standard model. Interestingly, these specs now perfectly match the larger (and more expensive) BMW M4 Competition.

Color Options

  • Brooklyn Grey (Standard)
  • Portimao Blue
  • Black Sapphire
  • Individual Velvet Blue (Optional metallic finish)

The Carbon Fiber Transformation

Compared to the standard M2, the new CS model is 30kg lighter, but it still isn’t particularly lightweight at 1,710kg.

To earn the “CS” (Competition Sport) badge, BMW put the M2 on a serious diet, shaving off about 30kg. They achieved this by swapping out standard parts for Carbon Fibre Reinforced Plastic (CFRP). You’ll find high-tech carbon fiber everywhere—on the roof, the bonnet, the front splitter, and even that aggressive rear “ducktail” spoiler.

A Lower, Meaner Stance

The M2 CS sits 8mm lower than the regular car. It also gets a completely revised suspension with M-specific tuning for the springs, dampers, and chassis control systems to make it razor-sharp on the track.

The Signature Look

To top it off, it rolls on stunning Gold Bronze forged wheels (19-inch at the front and 20-inch at the rear), giving it a dynamic and unmistakable presence.

Caronphone Says…

At Rs 1.66 crore, the M2 CS is roughly ₹60+ lakh more expensive than the standard M2. Is it worth the premium? If you’re a collector or someone who spends their weekends at the track, the answer is a resounding yes. It is quite possibly the last of its kind—a small, rear-wheel-drive, petrol-powered beast with zero compromises.
