Mini India has begun accepting bookings for its fourth-generation model, the Cooper S, ahead of its launch in India. It was unveiled in September of last year. New styling and an updated interior have refreshed its iconic silhouette. However, it flaunts an upgraded exterior and interior.
The Mini Cooper retains its signature shape. It features a new octagonal front grille with intricate designs, flanked by new round LED headlights with customizable light patterns for the DRL.
The new-gen Mini is offered with both electric and petrol powertrains, both offered in standard and more performance-oriented S specifications. The all-electric line-up comprises the 182 bhp Cooper E and the 215 bhp Cooper SE, the former offered with a 40.7 kWh battery and the latter with a larger 54.2 kWh unit. The former uses a 1.5-liter, three-cylinder turbocharged engine pushing out 154 bhp, while the latter uses a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder turbocharged mill good for 201 bhp. The front-wheel-drive configuration will remain available with a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox.
The 2024 MINI Cooper S will be the first of the new-generation models to hit the market, with the all-electric Cooper EV set to follow later this year.
Mini has listed five color options to pick from, which include
– Ocean Wave Green,
– Sunny Side Yellow,
– Chilli Red,
– British Racing Green,
– Blazing Blue.
