Nissan X-trail Launched in India at Rs 49.92Lakh

Nissan has launched its flagship SUV in India at rs 49.92 Lakh. The full size premium SUV will be brought here as a completely built unit (CBU). The Japanese carmaker had already started accepting pre-bookings for the fourth-gen X-Trail with a token of INR 1 lakh. The X-trail will now be the second offering in Nissan’s Indian portfolio. The Nissan X-trail is making a comeback after 10 years in India.

Nissan X-trail: Exterior

The X-Trail has a commanding road presence with an upright look. On the front it features a split-headlight, LED DRLs, and a “V” shaped grille with a chrome surround rounded, wheel arches with plastic cladding. On the sides, the X-Trail is equipped with 20-inch alloy wheels and thick body cladding. The rear profile gets wraparound LED tail lights and a chunky skid plate.

Nissan X-trail: Dimension

The X-Trail measures 4,680mm in length, 1,840mm in width, 1,725mm in height, and has a 2,705mm-long wheelbase. The 7-seater SUV has a 5.5m turning radius, 210mm of ground clearance, and comes with 255/45 R20 tyres.

Nissan X-trail: Colour options

The X-Trail will be offered across three colour options – Pearl White, Diamond Black, and Champagne Silver.

Nissan X-trail: Interior

On the inside Nissan X-Trail SUV comes equipped with features such as an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, dual-pane panoramic sunroof.
The cabin is practical featuring a large centre armrest at the front with butterfly opening, an armrest for middle row seats, and bottle holders on all doors. The second row of the X-Trail provides ample room for three passengers.
The second row has a 40/20/40 split-folding, sliding and reclining functions, while the third row gets 50/50 split-folding and reclining functions.
X-trail features include offers wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, dual-zone climate control, auto-dimming IRVM, electronic parking brake with auto hold, and a wireless charger and keyless entry.
However, the X-Trail misses out on some important features like ventilated front seats, electrically adjustable front seats, leatherette upholstery, and even advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

Nissan X-trail: Powertrain

The Nissan X-Trail is powered with a 1.5-litre three-cylinder VCT engine mated to a CVT gearbox. This motor is aided with a 12V mild-hybrid system, thus resulting in a power output of 160bhp and 300Nm of peak torque.
Additionally, Nissan X-Trail offers three drive modes and steering modes- Eco, Standard, and Sport.

Nissan X-trail: Safety

X-Trail includes seven airbags, auto wipers, ABS and EBD, traction control, a limited-slip diff, hill-start assist and front parking sensors.
