Skoda Kushaq Facelift Launch Timeline

The updated Kushaq has been teased several times and spotted testing in recent months. Looking at the pace of testing and reports, the official launch is likely to take place in January 2026. The SUV sits in the competitive 4.2–4.4 meter category, going up against popular models such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder and the Victoris

The facelift will introduce fresh design elements, improved interior features and advanced technology. However its engine lineup will stay the same as the current model

The Skoda Kushaq facelift will receive mild styling changes while keeping its bold and sturdy look. The updated design will include:

  • A newly designed front grille
  • Updated LED headlamps and tail lamps
  • Redesigned front and rear bumpers
  • Fresh alloy wheel options
  • Possible connected tail-lamp strip

One of the biggest highlights is the addition of a panoramic sunroof. Almost all its rivals already offer this feature, so this upgrade brings the Kushaq up to segment standards. The current model only has a single pane electric sunroof which many buyers felt was a missing premium element

Spy shots have revealed several new features expected inside the updated cabin. The facelift will offer more comfort and tech than the current version. Expected updates include:

  • A 360 degree surround view camera for better parking visibility
  • A new, upgraded infotainment system
  • A modern digital instrument cluster
  • Improved audio system
  • Fresh driver display unit

The comfortable features seen on the current Kushaq are also likely to remain. These include electrically adjustable seats and ventilated seats for the driver and front passenger

A major addition will be the introduction of Level 2 ADAS making this the first mass-market Skoda car in India to offer such advanced driver assistance technology

Safety Features On The Skoda Kushaq Facelift

Safety continues to be a strong point for the Kushaq. The current model already holds a 5 star rating from Global NCAP and the facelift will continue to focus on strong safety features. Expected safety equipment includes:

  • Six airbags
  • ABS
  • EBD
  • Traction control
  • Electronic Stability System
  • Hill hold assist
  • TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system)

It is not yet confirmed if all these features will be offered across every trim level or limited to the higher variants

Though the car will launch with the current gearbox setup, Skoda may introduce an 8 speed torque converter automatic at a later stage. This unit will be sourced from AISIN. The new gearbox is expected to offer smoother gear shifts, better fuel economy and improved driving comfort. It will also help the company meet CAFE III norms

What The Updates Mean For Buyers

The new Skoda Kushaq facelift brings a solid mix of safety, comfort, technology, and design changes. With the addition of Level 2 ADAS and a panoramic sunroof, it becomes more appealing to buyers in the mid-size SUV segment. The familiar engines ensure reliability while the possible new gearbox promises a smoother and more efficient drive in the future

The facelift aims to strengthen Kushaq’s position in the crowded midsize SUV market by offering premium features that match customer expectations today
