Skoda Octavia RS: All 100 Units Sold Out Ahead of Launch

The Skoda Octavia RS has once again created excitement among car enthusiasts in India. Bookings for the upcoming model opened earlier this week with a token amount of Rs 2.50 lakh and within days all 100 units were completely sold out. The official price announcement is set for October 17 but demand has already surpassed expectations

Skoda confirmed that only 100 cars were reserved for India and each of them has already been spoken for. Despite being a full import interest in the performance sedan has been overwhelming. The expected price range is between Rs 50 lakh and Rs 55 lakh (ex showroom)

The popularity of the Octavia RS is not new. The previous model the Octavia RS 245 launched in 2020 with 200 units was sold out in just over a month. With the 2025 edition history seems to be repeating itself. However some cancellations could occur once prices are officially revealed so a few cars might become available later

Skoda Octavia RS Engine and Performance

Under the hood the Skoda Octavia RS features a 2.0 liter, 4 cylinder turbopetrol engine that delivers 265 horsepower and 370Nm of torque. This makes it the most powerful version of the Octavia RS to date. The engine comes paired with a 7 speed DSG automatic gearbox sending power to the front wheels

The car can accelerate from 0–100 km/h in 6.4 seconds, while the top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h. It also gets a sports exhaust system for a deeper and more engaging sound. Interestingly, this same powertrain is also found in the Volkswagen Golf GTI sold in India
