A significant milestone in international automotive trade is unfolding as India’s domestically built vehicles gain traction in Japan’s competitive market. The Honda WR‑V—marketed as the Elevate in India—and the rugged Maruti Jimny are at the forefront of this export surge. In the first nine months of FY2024‑25, Honda shipped 45,167 units while Maruti exported over 38,000 units, signaling a robust global demand for cost-effective, high-quality engineering.
