The Tata Sierra SUV is all set to return to the Indian car market in a brand new avatar. The company will first launch the electric version of the SUV around October 2025 followed by the internal combustion engine models in early 2026. With this launch Tata Motors is stepping back into the midsize SUV space a segment already crowded with strong players like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Skoda Kushaq, Toyota Hyryder, Volkswagen Taigun and Honda Elevate. The Sierra has always been a special name for Indian buyers because of its unique styling in the 1990s.
