Renault Boreal rated 3-star at Euro NCAP for safety
The pending Renault Boreal, a seven-seat SUV built on the Dacia Bigster platform, got a 3-star safety rating in the recent Euro NCAP crash tests. Expected to launch in India in 2026, the vehicle will fit two more rows of passengers and follow the design of the Renault Duster to win over buyers in the growing mid-size SUV sector.
Renault willing to share technology for driving down costs
Renault has decided to share its vehicle platforms and architectures with other car companies to help keep rising EV production costs under control. As CEO Luca de Meo explained, the main goal is to reduce production and supply costs, especially for small cars and commercial vehicles, where traces are slender, he said.
