The Tata Curvv, including its all-electric variant, is the fifth model from Tata Motors to achieve a 5-star rating, following the Nexon alone with its EV version, the Punch EV, Harrier, and Safari.
The Curvv is available with petrol, diesel, and electric powertrains.
Commenting on the development, Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd., and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd, said, “At Tata Motors, we are deeply committed to providing mobility solutions that prioritize safety and innovation for our consumers.”
“As the first Indian brand to achieve a 5-star Global-NCAP rating in 2019, we successfully made safety a key consideration when it comes to purchasing an automobile in the country. With the Curvv.ev, Tata Curvv, and Tata Nexon, we are proud to add to the list of India’s safest vehicles,” he added.
Chandra said, “Having truly embraced the Bharat-NCAP protocol, these 5-star ratings are a testament to our commitment to empowering Indian families with mobility solutions that prioritize safety as much as innovation.”
