Tata Curvv pulls a 48,000 kg Boeing 737 Aircraft, sets a record
This impressive feat has not only earned the Curvv a spot in the India Book of Records but also solidified its reputation as one of the most robust and reliable vehicles on the market.
The record is a “Passenger Aircraft Pulled By A Petrol SUV For The Longest Distance.”
The Curvv used for this feat was powered by Tata’s new 1.2-litre turbo-petrol GDi (direct injection) engine, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission.
This act highlights the structural integrity and high Factor of Safety (FOS) of the Curvv’s design, proving that it’s built to handle extreme challenges. Earlier this year, the Curvv made headlines by pulling three dipper trucks weighing a combined 42 tonnes. Moreover, Tata Hexa too achieved a similar feat in 2017 by pulling a Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
Notably, the Curvv measures up with its advanced ATLAS architecture and Hyperion GDi powertrain, both of which contributed to its record-setting performance.
Tata Curvv is also one of the safest passenger vehicles on sale in the Indian market today. In October 2024, both Curvv and its fully-electric sibling— Curvv EV — achieved a full 5-star safety rating for Adult as well as Child Occupant Protection at Bharat NCAP.
The Tata Curvv ICE is offered in four broad trims:
  • Smart
  • Pure+
  • Creative
  • Accomplished
