The Volkswagen Tiguan R Line will be the first model for the Indian market under the sporty R-Line portfolio slated to be launched on April 14, 2025. This exciting latest offering will be available as a Completely Built-up Unit (CBU), indicating Volkswagen’s commitment to delivering a premium experience to Indian consumers.
The Volkswagen Tiguan R Line is powered by a 2.0L inline four-cylinder turbo petrol engine, that is capable of producing 201 bhp and 320 Nm torque, paired with a seven-speed DCT gearbox.
Maruti Suzuki showcased the e vitara at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 and is presently in the testing phase. The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara is Built on the e-Heartect platform. Built with over 50% high-tensile steel, the e-Vitara features a 2,700 mm wheelbase and is expected to excel in GNCAP crash tests.
Maruti Suzuki will offer the e-Vitara with two battery pack choices: a 48.8 kWh battery and a larger 61.1 kWh battery. These batteries are expected to deliver a range exceeding 500 km. Indian-spec will receive the front-wheel-drive version.
The Kia Carens, which went on sale in India in 2022, is set to receive a midlife update, and its debut is scheduled for this April. Kia Carens will be powered by a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 115 PS and 144 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed manual gearbox. The 1.5-litre turbo petrol unit will generate 158 bhp and 253 Nm, available with either a six-speed iMT or a seven-speed DCT. Meanwhile, the 1.5-litre diesel variant will deliver 114 bhp and 250 Nm and is offered with a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission.
Skoda will be introducing the 2025 Skoda Kodiaq soon in India. The new-gen Kodiaq made its global debut three months ago and more recently was showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025.
The 2025 Skoda Kodiaq will be offered in Sportline and L&K version. Both versions of the Kodiaq will have some visual changes on them. However, both the versions will be powered by the same 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine.
The new generation Kodiaq is built upon an updated version of the first generation car, released in 2017, and brings significant revisions. Major exterior features have been enhanced for the new generation, including new headlights, bumpers and more.
The new-gen Kodiaq will be offered with a 2.0-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine which pushes out 187 bhp and 320 Nm of peak torque. This mill will be paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox as standard.
