Volkswagen will accepting pre-bookings for the Golf GTI on May 5. The hot-hatch with the iconic nameplate will be sold as a full import with the treatment of a GTi badge. With this, it will be the automaker’s second car with the GTi badge.
The Golf GTI will be imported via the CBU route and will be available to 155 units. Deliveries are expected to begin in June.

The Volkswagen Golf GTI is powered by a 2.0L, 4-cylinder turbo petrol engine, which comes mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. This setup generates a maximum power of 245bhp and a torque of 370Nm.
It offers a front-wheel drive system. Volkswagen claims that the Golf GTI can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 5.9 seconds. While, the top speed of the hot hatch is electronically limited to 250 km/h.
