India’s electric vehicle (EV) market is receiving attention from automakers, as it is growing quickly. Volvo, Globally recognized for its safety and luxury standards, is entering Volvo compact electric SUV segment with EX30. The rechargeable vehicle is meant for city and long-haul drivers looking for a premium vehicle with environmental considerations. The EX30 SUV’s cutting-edge compact design, notable safety features, and efficient driving range aim to position it as a leader for compact electric SUVs in India.

The Volvo EX30 gets a clean and simple look that suits city and highway driving. 

  • Closed front grille gives it a unique electric style. 
  • Slim LED headlamps with Thor’s Hammer DRLs. 
  • Pixel design tail lamps for a modern touch. 
  • Aero-friendly wheels for better efficiency and smooth performance. 
  • Charging port is placed on the rear left side for convenience.

The cabin offers comfort and modern tech aimed at daily and long trips. 

  • 12.3-inch vertical touchscreen with Google-based software. 
  • Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. 
  • Safety features include 360-degree camera, lane assist, adaptive cruise control and multiple airbags. 

Volvo EX30 Battery And Range

Built on Geely’s SEA platform, the car supports both single and dual motor setups. 

  • Two battery packs: 51 kWh with 344 km range and 69 kWh with 480 km range (WLTP). 
  • Single motor output: 268 bhp, 343 Nm torque. 
  • Dual motor output: 422 bhp, 543 Nm torque for faster acceleration. 

Launch Timeline Volvo EX30

The Volvo EX30, which made its global debut in 2023, is now gearing up for its India launch, expected in October 2025. 

  • Launching as a CBU model initially. 
  • CKD assembly expected later, which may lower prices. 
  • Will be Volvo’s most affordable electric SUV in India.
