In the past two years, the company has produced 50,000 cars, reflecting a sharp acceleration in production to meet the rising demand for luxury vehicles in the country.<\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Mercedes-Benz India\u2019s Chakan plant has been a pioneer in local manufacturing.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">Notably,\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">the Chakan plant was the first plant to manufacture the Mercedes-Maybach S500 outside of Germany in 2015. This production line was later expanded by including other models.<\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Mercedes-Benz\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">produces 11 luxury models locally, offering the widest locally made luxury portfolio in India. This includes the <a href=\"https:\/\/caronphone.com\/mercedes-benz-cars\/c-class\">C-Class<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/caronphone.com\/mercedes-benz-cars\/e-class-lwb\">E-Class LWB<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/caronphone.com\/mercedes-benz-cars\/gla\">GLA<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/caronphone.com\/mercedes-benz-cars\/glc\">GLC<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/caronphone.com\/mercedes-benz-cars\/gle\">GLE<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/caronphone.com\/mercedes-benz-cars\/gls\">GLS<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/caronphone.com\/mercedes-benz-cars\/eqs\">EQS<\/a>, among others.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"none\">The plant has also been at the forefront of the luxury electric mobility transition, commencing local production of the EQS 580 Sedan in 2022.
