Maruti\u2019s first EV was expected to go on sale in March, which means that the launch has been delayed by about 6 months.<\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/caronphone.com\/maruti-suzuki-cars\">Maruti Suzuki<\/a> e Vitara made its India debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 in January.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Chairman R.C. Bhargava has confirmed that customer deliveries will now commence towards the end of September. Initially unveiled at the Auto Expo 2025, the e Vitara was originally slated for launch in March 2025.<\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Maruti plans to build the<a href=\"https:\/\/caronphone.com\/maruti-suzuki-cars\/e-vitara\"> e Vitara<\/a> in its Gujarat plant and they will be building nearly 70,000 units, most of which will be slated for exports to other countries.<\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Earlier, the company faced several battery supply and software problems, which has caused the delay in the start of production (SOP) of the e Vitara electric SUV by at least 5 months. Initially, these hurdles had forced the pushback of production commencement from September 2024 to February 2025.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">This delay could potentially affect Suzuki\u2019s plans to enter Europe\u2019s competitive EV market, as Maruti Suzuki is a significant export base for the\u00a0eVX, with a substantial portion of the planned output earmarked for overseas markets.
