However, a little bit the situation has changed in 2025. Tata still leads in India EV market share but the victors are gaining on fast. In other words, it meant that almost 70 percent of the electric cars on Indian roads were Tata\u2019s, including some of the popular ones, such as Tata Nexon EV.<\/span><\/span><span class=\"EOP SCXO83430827 BCX8\">\u00a0<\/span>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1d73880e elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"1d73880e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tNevertheless, in the financial year 2025 (April 2024 to March 2025), the sales of electric cars at Tata declined by around 10.7% and sold approximately 57,600 cars. They also lost market share( from 70.5% to 53.5%). This means the grip of Tata on the market is not as strong as before even though they continue to be the biggest market player in the Indian electric vehicle market trends. \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ce959eb elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"ce959eb\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tOne of the reasons that account for this decline is reduced demand from fleet operators (companies which purchase cars in bulk for taxis or rentals).
