In an effort to regain its position in the SUV market, Tata Motors<\/a> is preparing a series of new launches, including petrol-powered versions of the Harrier and Safari, as well as two fresh SUVs before the end of this financial year. Among these, the Tata Punch facelift<\/a> and the Sierra EV<\/a> are scheduled to arrive ahead of Diwali. The internal combustion engine version of the Sierra is set to debut in the first quarter of 2026.<\/span><\/p>

Reports suggest that the petrol variants of the Harrier<\/a> and Safari<\/a> will be introduced towards the end of 2025, most likely around November or December. Both the Punch facelift and the Sierra EV have already been seen undergoing road tests across India.<\/span>\u202f<\/span><\/p>

Tata Sierra EV \u2013 Launch By Diwali<\/span><\/b><\/h2>

Tata Motors is bringing back the iconic Sierra nameplate as a premium lifestyle SUV blending retro inspired design elements with modern styling and advanced features. The first to arrive will be the electric version, expected around October or November this year while the ICE-powered Sierra is likely to follow in early 2026 possibly in January.<\/span><\/p>

The Sierra EV will be built on the brand\u2019s new Acti.ev Gen2 platform, which also underpins the Punch EV and the Curvv EV<\/a>. Initially it is expected to come with a front wheel drive setup, though higher trims could get a dual-motor all wheel drive (AWD) system. The SUV is likely to share its battery packs with the Harrier EV<\/a>, offering 65kWh and 75kWh options. The larger unit may support AWD or even a quad-wheel-drive (QWD) configuration. A certified range of over 600 km is anticipated, with real-world driving likely to deliver around 500 km per charge.<\/span><\/p>

In terms of design Tata Motors has confirmed that the production model will stay close to the concept\u2019s styling. A major highlight will be the triple screen dashboard which will feature a driver display, a central infotainment unit and a dedicated screen for the co passenger. The Sierra EV could be available in both 5 seat and 4 seat lounge style layouts. Key features are expected to include a panoramic sunroof, ventilated and powered front seats, Level 2 ADAS and other premium equipment.<\/span><\/p>
