\"UPI<\/p>

The Indian Government\u2019s Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has amended the National Highways Fee (Determination of Rates and Collection) Rules, 2008, calling it the Third Amendment 2025. <\/span><\/p>

Cash payments will pay 100% more fee, while UPI payments will pay only 25% fee. This step is to encourage digital payments at toll plazas for vehicle users without a FASTag. The rule will be applied from November 15th, 2025.<\/span><\/p>

What is The Revised Rule and Date?<\/span><\/b><\/h2>

According to the MoRTH\u2019s revised rules, vehicles that do not have a valid FASTag will be charged 2x the toll fee if they pay via cash. <\/span><\/p>

However, if the user pays using the UPI service, the charge will only be 25% extra than the applicable fee.<\/span><\/p>

For exchange, if the toll fee is Rs. 100, then for cash payment, the non-FASTag user will have to pay Rs. 200. But, if the same user pays via UPI, the fee will be Rs. 125.<\/span><\/p>

The amendment to the National Highways Fee (Determination of Rates and Collection) Rules, 2008, is aimed at bringing in several transformations.<\/span><\/p>
