Skoda Auto is all set to unveil its first sub-4m Kylaq SUV on November 6. The Skoda Kylaq will be an all-new product from the automaker in India under its ‘India 2.5’.
This compact SUV is set to be launched in India in early 2025. Skoda India had revealed the name of its subcompact SUV in August.
India is the most important market for Skoda outside of Europe, as claimed by the carmaker. All these factors make Kylaq a significant model for Skoda and something that will define the company’s future growth in the country.
The Skoda Kylaq is likely to cost between Rs 8 lakh and Rs 14 lakh (ex-showroom).
Skoda Kylaq: Engine and powertrain
The Skoda Kylaq is powered by the proven and efficient 1.0 TSI engine, mated to the choice of a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. The engine produces 85 kW of power and 178 Nm of torque.

The Skoda Kylaq has been designed keeping in mind the evolving aspirations of Indian customers. It will see the implementation of the Škoda Modern Solid design language in India. This design is defined by clear, reduced lines that reflect the simplicity, solidity, and quality of Škoda cars.
Bold and muscular shapes around the fenders provide an enhanced stance and road presence to the car.
The Kylaq will offer high ground clearance and space around the wheel for tackling uneven road surfaces and lend the car that SUV character. The design retains the typical Škoda SUV language in the front and adds details like refined and precise DRL light signatures.
