2026 Volkswagen Taigun Facelift Unveiled in India: Check New Features, Specs & Expected Price

2026 Taigun Facelift has been revealed by Volkswagen. As part of the mid-cycle refresh, the SUV gets a reworked exterior and new features.
The new Taigun is based on the MQB-A0-IN platform, which it shares with its sibling, the Skoda Kushaq. The company has not disclosed the price.
Volkswagen India said it has sold over 1,00,000 SUVs in India since 2020, with about 90% of those sales coming from the Taigun.
Notably, this is the first update for the SUV since its first launch in 2021. It follows the launch of its Skoda Kushaq, which shares the same powertrain.

Pre-launch bookings are underway for a minimum token amount of Rs 11,000.
Delivery
Deliveries for the Taigun facelift are expected to commence either by the end of April or early May.

Design
The 2026 facelift sharpens the Taigun’s look with a modern makeover. While it keeps the same recognizable silhouette, it now features sleeker LED headlamps and trendy, full-width light bars at both the front and back. Toss in the redesigned bumpers and fresh alloy wheels, and the SUV feels much more contemporary.

Safety features of the Taigun include six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, traction control, electronic differential lock, hill-hold assist, ISOFIX mounts, front and rear parking sensors, rain-sensing wipers, brake disc wiping and an auto-dimming IRVM. The SUV retains its 5-star safety rating.
Expected Price
Pricing is expected to remain in the Rs 11 lakh to Rs 21 lakh (ex-showroom) range, keeping it aligned with rivals like the Creta and Seltos.
Warranty Details
The new Taigun comes with 4-year standard warranty, 4-year roadside assistance and three free services.
Competitors
The new Taigun competes with Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Honda Elevate, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder.
