The Hector and the Hector Plus. The increase affects both petrol and diesel variants, with changes varying across different trims.
The Hector sees a price increase ranging from ₹16,000 to ₹22,000 for petrol variants and ₹18,000 to ₹22,000 for diesel variants. The changes came after MG Motor India had previously decreased Hector prices by Rs 1 lakh earlier this year.
The Hector Plus also saw a significant price change. The petrol variants have seen hikes between ₹20,000 and ₹30,000, while the diesel variants have increased by ₹20,000 to ₹25,000. This sets the starting price of the Hector Plus at ₹18.20 lakh (ex-showroom).
For the MG Comet EV, the entry-level trims, Executive, and Excite continue with the same pricing at Rs. 6.99 lakhs and 7.99 lakhs ex-showroom, helping the Comet maintain the same low starting price of Rs. 6.99 lakhs. While the higher Excite FC, Exclusive, and Exclusive FC trims now cost between Rs 11,000 and Rs 13,000 more, There are no feature updates whatsoever to accompany the price increase.
The MG Astor Sprint base model’s ex-showroom price remains unchanged, helping the Astor maintain the same low while still continuing to cost just under Rs. 10.0 lakh.
