MG Motors Announces Price Increase for Select Variants.

MG Motor India has revised the prices of its range, including the Comet EV, Astor, Hector, and Hector Plus.

The Hector and the Hector Plus. The increase affects both petrol and diesel variants, with changes varying across different trims.

Mg Hector

The Hector sees a price increase ranging from ₹16,000 to ₹22,000 for petrol variants and ₹18,000 to ₹22,000 for diesel variants. The changes came after MG Motor India had previously decreased Hector prices by Rs 1 lakh earlier this year.

The base model MG Hector Style variant maintains its price tag at Rs 13.99 lakh for the petrol model and Rs 17.30 lakh for the diesel, staying unaffected by the recent adjustments.

Hector Plus

The Hector Plus also saw a significant price change. The petrol variants have seen hikes between ₹20,000 and ₹30,000, while the diesel variants have increased by ₹20,000 to ₹25,000. This sets the starting price of the Hector Plus at ₹18.20 lakh (ex-showroom).

Despite the price hike, the vehicles continue to offer substantial value, making them a preferred choice for many customers.

Mg Comet

For the MG Comet EV, the entry-level trims, Executive, and Excite continue with the same pricing at Rs. 6.99 lakhs and 7.99 lakhs ex-showroom, helping the Comet maintain the same low starting price of Rs. 6.99 lakhs. While the higher Excite FC, Exclusive, and Exclusive FC trims now cost between Rs 11,000 and Rs 13,000 more, There are no feature updates whatsoever to accompany the price increase.

Notably, prices for the Comet EV’s 100-year limited edition remain unchanged at Rs 9.40 lakh.

Mg Astor

The MG Astor is available in six variants, namely, Sprint, Shine, Select, Smart, Sharp Pro, and Savvy Pro. According to the price revision, the Sharp Pro and Savvy Pro are the only variants, with a price increase ranging from Rs. 31,800 to Rs. 38,000.

The MG Astor Sprint base model’s ex-showroom price remains unchanged, helping the Astor maintain the same low while still continuing to cost just under Rs. 10.0 lakh.
