BYD Atto 3 Introduces New Variants in India from Rs 24.99 Lakh

BYD India has introduced two new trims for its Atto 3 electric SUV. The Atto 3 is now offered in three variants: dynamic, premium, and superior. Previously available in a single fully loaded trim.

The Atto 3 is now offered in a Cosmo Black edition scheme aside from the previously offered Ski White, Boulder Grey and Surf Blue.

This variant expansion is targeted to make it a highly value-for-money offering.

BYD India is expanding its dealership network, which comprises 26 showrooms across 23 cities.

Rajeev Chauhan, Head of Electric Passenger Vehicles (EPV) Business at BYD India, stated, “Our diversified offerings not only expand our product portfolio but also pave the way for a more inclusive EV future. We aim to make premium electric mobility accessible to a broader audience. With the launch of these new variants, we are one step closer to realizing this vision.”

BYD Atto 3 : Powertrain and Range

The Atto 3 ‘Dynamic’ is equipped with a 49.92 kWh battery and an ARAI-certified range of 468 km.

produces 201 BHP and 310 Nm, powered by a single electric motor mounted on the rear axle. It supports 70 kW DC charging.

The Dynamic variant sprints a 0 to 100 kmph time of 7.9 seconds.

The Atto 3 ‘Premium’ and ‘Superior’ trims, both variants, get a 60.48 kWh battery, offering a range of 521 km. Both of these variants get 80 kW of DC charging support.

The Premium and Superior variants can do the sprint in a quicker 7.3 seconds.

All three variants can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in 50 minutes using a DC fast charger, while the base model benefits from a lower AC charging time of 8 hours.

BYD Atto 3: New Features

Interior

The entry-level Dynamic variant misses out on features such as adaptive LED headlights, ADAS, and electric tailgate, multi-color ambient lighting, and an 8-speaker sound system. Similarly, the mid-spec variant does not have ADAS and adaptive LED headlights that are offered in the top-spec variant.

Moreover, both variants offer a panoramic sunroof, electric ORVMs with heating, and a 6-way powered driver seat, 12.8-inch infotainment system, 360-degree camera, and a wireless phone charger.

Exterior

The base Dynamic variant gets a smaller 17-inch alloy, while the higher variants Premium and Superior variants are offered with 18-inch alloys.

BYD Atto 3: Safety

BYD Atto 3 offers seven airbags as standard. Other features include ABS with EBD, ESP, and electronic stability program, (ADAS) advanced driver assistance system, (TPMS) tire pressure monitoring system, ISOFIX mounts and hill descent control.

BYD Atto 3: Competitors

The BYD Atto 3 will rival the MG ZS EV and the upcoming Tata Curvv EV, Hyundai Creta EV, and Maruti Suzuki eVX.
