Skoda Kodiaq Discontinued, ahead of 2nd-gen launch by May 2025

Skoda Auto India has removed the Kodiaq SUV from its official website, hinting that it has officially discontinued the model for the Indian market. This could be because the new-generation model could be launched by May 2025.
The Skoda Kodiaq received its last major update in India in the form of facelift in January 2022. It was offered via CKD (completely knocked down) route. The Skoda Kodiaq was first launched in India in 2017 and was the carmaker’s first full-size SUV globally.
The 1st-gen Skoda Kodiaq was available in a single L&K variant that was priced at Rs 40.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
Notably, Skoda has sold more than 10,000 units of Kodiaq since its launch in October 2017 also Skoda has completed 7 years of Kodiaq in India although it was discontinued for almost 2 years in between but the nameplate is in India for 7 years.

2025 Skoda Kodiaq
Petr Janeba, confirmed that prices for the new Kodiaq will be announced in April, and that it will be offered in two trims.
Skoda will launch the 2025 Kodiaq in two trims – Sportline and Laurin & Klement (L&K) – which will be differentiated on the outside and inside.
Notably, L&K hasn’t been introduced for the second-gen model in any of the key EU markets like Germany, the UK, France, Spain, or Italy, or even brand’s home market – the Czech Republic.
Like the current model, the upcoming version of Kodiaq will be locally assembled in India through Completely Knocked Down (CKD) kits. Test units of the premium seven-seat SUV have been spotted on a few occasions over the past few months.
In India, the new Kodiaq will be offered with a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 188 BHP and 320 Nm. The engine will be paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system.
