Volkswagen India has discontinued the Tiguan in the country.
The standard Tiguan will be replaced by the sportier Tiguan R-Line.
Volkswagen India has delisted the Tiguan from its website, ahead of the upcoming launch of the new-generation Tiguan R-Line.
Notably, Tiguan was the flagship model of the brand sold in the Indian market and was sold in the Elegance version with a price tag of Rs 38.17 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Tiguan came via the CBU route in India.
The Volkswagen Tiguan was powered by a 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine producing 187 bhp and 320 Nm of peak torque. The powertrain was paired with a 7-speed DSG gearbox.

Volkswagen has confirmed the Tiguan R-Line will hit the Indian roads on April 14, 2025. Bookings for the Tiguan R-Line are already underway. The SUV will be imported via the CBU route. Prices will be announced next month.
Design
The Tiguan R-Line is essentially the Tiguan facelift, which made its debut for the international market in 2023. The Tiguan R Line will come with refreshed design with more modern appeal.

Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line Engine
Powering the Tiguan R-Line will be a 2-litre turbocharged TSI engine, paired with a 7-speed direct shift gearbox (dual-clutch automatic transmission) and an all-wheel drive system. Moreover, the engine specifications are still under wraps.
