Tata Nexon EV 45 kWh Variant Bags 5-Star in BNCAP Crash Test Rating

Tata Nexon EV variant with a 45 kWh battery has received 5-star safety rating for both the adult and child safety. The Nexon EV has been one of the best-selling electric cars in India since its launch, and now this new safety rating has strengthened its
EV buyers looking for a safe, long-range, and feature-loaded electric SUV, then the Tata Nexon EV 45 kWh can be a good pick.
Moreover, the most recent Bharat NCAP rating is valid for units produced from March 2025 onwards. Previously, only the 30kWh and now-discontinued 40.5kWh versions had been tested and rated.
With this latest update, Tata Nexon’s complete portfolio is 5-star compliant.
The crash tests were conducted on the top-spec Empowered+ LR variant of the Nexon EV 45kWh.

- Frontal offset deformable barrier test: 14.26/16 points
- Side deformable barrier test: 15.60/16 points
Child Occupant Protection: 44.95/49 Points
- Dynamic score: 23.95/24 points
- Child restraint system (CRS) installation score: 12/12 points
- Vehicle assessment score: 9/13 points
